Hall and Oates have collaborated with Train to produce their new upbeat song “Philly Forget Me Not”. The song has been released ahead of their co-headlining summer tour this year, and it is Hall and Oates first new song since 2002!
Hall has said that the song “pretty much describes my feelings about Philly, my music home.” Oates chimed in “It will be cool to play a new song on this upcoming tour with Train.”
As for Monahan, lead singer of Train, being able to co-headline a tour with Hall and Oates this summer, well, “It’s a lifelong dream Train couldn’t be more excited – listening to them and playing alongside them on tour each night is going to be incredible.” said Monahan.
Their tour starts this year on May 1st, and concludes August 11th in Seattle. No Jacksonville show scheduled, but there will be one in Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando.

In a vote that took less than a minute, with a vote of 33-2, the senate has passed the Sunshine Protection Act and it is now being sent to Governor Rick Scott. If Scott signs it, Congress will have to amend current existing federal law to allow the change.
Right now the only 2 states that don’t observe Daylight Saving are Arizona, and Hawaii. The bill will also make it so all of Florida will be in one time zone, rather than having Northwest Florida be in central time. If passed, come winter while the rest of the east coat set their clocks back one hour, Florida will keep the time the same for more sunshine in the evening.
Watching the ball drop on New Years Eve would happen at 1 a.m local time, but it’s alright because in Florida it’s always Sunny!
Mick Jagger’s 8th child was born in December 2016 (first with current girlfriend). In a story published on Wednesday, Keith Richards said “It’s time for the snip—you can’t be a father at that age. Those poor kids!”
Since the story has published Richards has taken to twitter for his public apology tweeting : “I deeply regret the comments I made about Mick in the WSJ which were completely out of line. I have of course apologized to him in person”.
The recent comments haven’t stopped the Stones from touring as they just announced an 11 show European leg of their No Filter Tour. Richards has also promised that a new album will be out, maybe not soon, but eventually.

The 1970 Isle of Wight Festival in England was “a little chaotic” in the words of Robby Krieger. It was the doors third to last concert, in the midst of Jim Morrisons trial for indecent exposure down in Miami.
It was a different type of show for The Doors, Jim wasn’t as animated as usual, the lighting was dark at Jim’s request since he wasn’t in the greatest of moods, and at the overweight with a beard point of his career. However, the show still sounded great, and the rest of the band thrived during the lenghtier instrumental jams.
The CD DVD set will be released on February 23rd.
