Every year when it comes to trick-or-treating you always end up with a bunch of candy that sits around for a year before getting thrown out. This year Hershey is capitalzing on that.
In New York, from 4pm to 9pm at Washington Square Park there will be a vending machine that trades your unwanted candy for Reese’s cups!
A study done by Reese’s shows that 90% of people receive candy that they wish they could trade, and 4 of 5 said they would want to trade for a Reese’s. Now in one location; they can.
As for us in Jax, we have to trade candy the old fashioned way. Maybe throw in a Crunch bar with those smarties and dum dum to score the Reese’s.
Hey Hershey, we want a Reese’s trade-in vending machine too!
This Saturday, kick off is scheduled for 3:30pm at TIAA Bank Field with an expected crowd of 82,000.
After a drive-by shooting on A. Philip Randolph Boulevard, a half mile away from the stadium, a half hour before the Jaguars Texans game last Sunday, security will be in abundance for the event.
College Gameday will be in Jacksonville for the game for the first time since 2005. A big deal for national coverage, the city is doing everything it can to make a good impression not just for the fans at the event, but also for the millions watching on TV.
650 Officers will be in and around the stadium, including areas near downtown that are popular for pre-game parties. Lighting is also being added to poorly lit areas.
If you’re going to the game, you have to be parked by 10:30am, lots open at 7am.

Making Riverside the fasting growing spot for millenials in Florida, and the whole southeast region.

We’ll say that again. An employee of a bank embezzled $5.4 million dollars before being caught.
Some checks he stole outright, others he used to buy rolls of stamps, and sell them to Mystic Stamp Company in New York at a 20% discount.
It wouldn’t be known how much money he had with the way he lives, an average house with a 20 year old car. However, he is very into producing movies and past members of films he worked on were surprised at the high budget he would allow for the filmmaking.
The Eagles now have the best selling album of all time. Almost a decade after Michael Jacksons death, his album Thriller has been overtaken by Eagles Greatest Hits 1971-1975.
The Recording Industry Association of America has recently recalculated sales for the Greatest Hits album and it is now certified as a 38x platinum album, going ahead of the 33x platinum Thriller.
Eagles’ Don Henley said in a statement “We are grateful for our families, our management, our crew, the people at radio and, most of all, the loyal fans who have stuck with us through the ups and downs of 46 years. It’s been quite a ride,”.
The album did spend a nearly a decade as the best selling album, until Thriller took over the number 1 slot following the King of Pops death in 2009. Now in the digital age, streaming and digital downloads of the Eagles Greatest Hits are up helping push them back into the drivers seat.

Earlier today, Vice President Mike Pence called for dominance in space. A direct appeal to the Pentagon to create a sixth military branch- the Space Force to be implemented by 2020.
“As their actions make clear, our adversaries have transformed space into a warfighting domain already and the United States will not shrink from this challenge,” he said. “Under President Trump’s leadership, we will meet it head on — to defend our nation, and build a peaceful future here on Earth and in space.”
There will be a lot of work put into creating the new branch, and it is planned to hit the ground running. This is real. For more on the story click below!
